It is with an extremely heavy heart that I announce the sad news that we had to say goodbye to a wonderful Labrador.
Gus drifted away peacefully on a river of tears to join his mother
and all of his relations who have gone before him to the Rainbow Bridge.

Gone, deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Best in Show, Best in Specialty Show, multi Group winning Senior Hunter,
Companion Dog Excellent, Rally Advanced Excellent, Therapy Dog...

But most especially, my constant companion and most devoted friend.

Gus always did his best to do whatever I asked of him. His courage and self confidence were beyond compare.
His gentle nature and loyalty were heartbreaking. His patience, devotion and love were limitless.
His passing leaves a huge void which will be difficult to mend, but his legacy continues in his get and in his future get.
I know I will be ever watchful for that special "look" when I see his future puppies blossom into beautiful young Labradors.

Gus finished his RAE (Rally Advanced Excellent) with many high scores and wins,
including several perfect scores of 100.

Gus finished his Bermuda Championship with all five point majors
at the November 2006 Bermuda Kennel Club All Breed International Championship Shows.

Gus won the Sporting Group at every show under the following judges:

Mr. Trotter (USA) Mrs. Trotter (USA)
Dr. Meen (Canada) Dr. Reeve-Newson (Canada)

Also named Best In Show under Mrs. Patricia Trotter
was awarded Best Hunting Retriever
and a JAM by breeder-judge Betty Graham at the 2006 Potomac Specialty

Gus finished his AKC Championship at 16 months of age....
Except for points earned in juvenile classes, including a five point major,
Gus finished his Championship from Bred By Exhibitor.

Pale yellow boy with lovely soft expression.
Excellent bone & feet with a well angulated front assembly.
Good reach of neck with ribs well sprung and deep chest, but not too much so.
Short through loins. Topline, tailset and carriage was a definite plus for this dog.
He has such well developed, well muscled thighs too.
So well balanced and covered the ground with ease.
